1st July 2007 Windsurfing: Lake Bala Wind Direction: S/SW Wind Stength: F3-6 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 14C Sea Temperature: Weather: Showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: Left home about 2pm so went for a quick session at Bala. Got on the water before 4pm and it was a bit up and down from not enough to get going to totally over-powered. The game was trying to stay in the windy parts of the lake as sometimes it was too Southerley and parts of the lake were in a wind shadow. Once I figured that out it was an OK session. Had quite a few great runs maxed out on the 6.9m when my 5.8m would have been more than enough. This board is very well behaved went thing go mad even with its 39cm fin. Gybes easy too with plenty of width in the tail. Still need to work on coming out of gybes with more speed. Came off the water around 5.30 and left by 6pm. Good training session. |
